REAL DOG RESCUE'S KICKOFF CAMPAIGN

Kasey’s owner arrived at the rural shelter to surrender a litter of puppies and a mom dog.  The shelter volunteer helped the owner pull 8 small, half-dead puppies from the back seat of the car, but the mom dog was nowhere to be seen.  The owner then walked behind the car and unlocked his trunk.  The volunteer was not prepared for what she was about to see.

No one knows how long Kasey had been locked in that filthy, dark trunk, but as she struggled to climb out, the volunteer saw the scars of a lifetime of neglect.  Kasey was emaciated, her hair was gone, her skin was raw and flaking, her eyes were oozing with infection and she cowered at the sight of strangers.  Within a few days of their surrender, all of Kasey’s puppies died.  She was now at the shelter frightened and alone.  When we received the shelter’s plea for help, we knew immediately that Kasey would be a part of Real Dog Rescue.   

Over 5,000 dogs are euthanized every day in shelters across the country.

Kasey and other dogs like her need our help, and we need your help to save them.

Real Dog Rescue was founded only a few months ago by a small group of long-time friends and animal advocates, on the belief that every dog matters.  It was our dream to create a safe haven for unwanted dogs in need of a new start.  Our goal was to create an organization where every dog is welcome, regardless of their age, breed, medical condition or location.  We wanted to help dogs in need in our own communities, across the country and around the world.  We also wanted to create an organization that is welcoming of all people, because without our friends, fosters, adopters, volunteers and supporters, we cannot save dogs. 

Now, as we celebrate the official launch of Real Dog Rescue, we are asking you to take part in our Kickoff Campaign to raise funds for dogs in need!

Join us, and be a part of something new and amazing by helping fulfill our mission to save lives.  In the past two months, with just a few donations and the commitment to make a difference, we have:

·         Rescued 50 dogs

·         Grown a stable base of foster homes

·         Organized 10 adoption events

·         Designed a website

·         Attracted over 1,000 social media followers

·         Expanded our operation to 4 states and counting

We have already accomplished great things.  With your help, just imagine how much more we can do.  Become a founding supporter, and help us shape the future of Real Dog Rescue.  We have no time to waste.  Every day we receive pleas to help dogs like Kasey and every time we want to say “yes, we can help”, but rescuing dogs is expensive and it requires a strong financial commitment.  Medical costs alone will force most smaller rescues like ours to close their doors.  Your donation will allow us save hundreds of dogs, provide them with quality medical care, and adopt them into loving homes.  Real Dog Rescue does not have a shelter facility and we do not have paid employees.  Your donation will go directly to the rescue and care of dogs.  Every dollar counts.  Please donate, please share, and please be a part of the Real Dog Rescue team and our commitment to saving dogs’ lives.
